Dr. Peter J. Guida

Periodontist

Dr. Peter J. Guida is a specialist in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery, and founded the practice in South Windsor in 1995. With over thirty years of experience, Dr. Guida is best known for his gentle, conservative approach and outstanding bedside manner.

Dr. Guida completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and graduated first in his class. He continued his specialty training in Periodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he served as the chief resident prior to entering private practice.

Dr. Guida is well known in the community for thousands of successfully treated patients suffering from gum disease, helping to restore their health and their smiles. He prides himself on taking the time to listen to each and every patient to tailor the treatment plan to their unique needs. He is a perennial selection for Connecticut Magazine's Top Dentist award and has an outstanding reputation in the community for the quality of care that he gives.

Dr. Michael D. Kang

Periodontist

Dr. Michael D. Kang is a board-certified periodontist who has been practicing in the field of dentistry for over a decade. He is known for his gentle and caring demeanor and strives to make every experience as pleasant as possible for his patients using modern and minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Kang completed his undergraduate degree at Cornell University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago. He then went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at NYU Langone Hospital with a concentration in dental implants prior to pursuing his three-year specialty training in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery at Columbia University. Dr. Kang practiced in New York City for a few years prior to settling in Connecticut.

Dr. Kang has invested hundreds of hours in continuing education to provide the most modern techniques to his patients, including the Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP) and the Pinhole Regenerative Technique®. He has published articles on dental implants and has lectured in various educational events on the topic of periodontics and dental implants. He has served as the President of the Connecticut Society of Periodontists and is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Kang is also honored to have been selected in Connecticut Magazine's Top Dentist edition from 2021-2023.

Originally from Chicago, Dr. Kang currently resides in Wallingford, CT with his wife and two children.
